Catherine L. Dullea
Attorney At Law
Catherine (Katie) Dullea grew up in Southern California, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from UCLA in 1972.
She moved to the Sandpoint area in 1981. From 1992 to 1995 she studied law at the University of Idaho College of Law.
She has practiced in Sandpoint since 1995, first with attorney Michael Stewart, and as a solo practitioner since 1997. Her areas of expertise include real property, estate planning, probate, and debtor/creditor bankruptcy law.
Katie has been President of the First District Bar Association, and the John P. Gray Inn of Court. She was on the Board of Directors for the Commercial and Bankruptcy Law Section of the Idaho State Bar, a seven-year commitment, which included responsibility for planning of the Section’s annual Winter Bankruptcy Conference in 2014, which she considers one of the high points of her legal career. She has also graded bar exams for the Idaho State Bar.
After joining Smith Malek in Of Counsel status, Katie will be transitioning most of her clients to the firm, preparatory to retirement in Western Washington by the end of the year. Although she will no longer be taking on client projects, she looks forward to continuing to assist Smith + Malek for at least a year in her Of Counsel capacity.
