Debbie Hengeveld

ATTORNEY Remote, based in Colorado P: 208.925.5961

Debbie is a healthcare attorney licensed to practice in the state of Colorado. She specializes in regulatory, transactional, licensing, compliance, and general matters in the healthcare and life sciences industries.

Debbie earned her J.D. degree from the University of Colorado Law School and a Certificate in Medical Device Regulatory Affairs from RAPS.

After law school, Debbie clerked for the Boulder County Treatment Court programs. She went on to practice as a guardian ad litem and juvenile attorney in Colorado for nearly ten years.

During that time, she represented hundreds of children in the Colorado Court system in a variety of matters, including child welfare, adoption, delinquency, mental health, guardianship, family drug treatment courts, and more.

Collaborating closely with mental health providers, Debbie worked hand in hand with health centers in accessing care for youth and caregivers. It’s here where she fell in love with the impact health centers have on individuals and families.

Debbie is an active board member of the Federal Bar Association-Health Law Chapter. Outside of work, she’s an avid Boulder Mountainbike Alliance Ride Guide.

When she’s not in the office, Debbie enjoys outdoor adventures, especially if they take place in the sunshine, and include her husband Jay and their kiddos Caden and Winter. However, she won’t say no to gardening, brunch, or discovering local breweries.
