Joining our team from Olympia, WA as an attorney practicing healthcare law, Julie brings over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, combining a successful career as a health-system pharmacist with her interest in law to best provide care for patients and families.
A leader in the healthcare field, Julie has impacted over 100 young pharmacists who have completed their pharmacy residencies in the hospitals where she has served as Residency Program Director, helping project future caregivers toward their career goals. She shares her experience as a pharmacist traversing life and career in Letters from Women in Pharmacy.
A student at heart, Julie chose to join the Smith + Malek team because just like her, we are committed to teaching and learning through mentorship, focusing on collaboration and optimizing the existing and potential talent of our team members.
When she’s not working, Julie enjoys traveling with her family and friends to Priest Lake, Idaho, spending time with parents and grandparents, and watching her kids play basketball, football, and track & field.
