Carissa Montgomery joined the Smith + Malek team shortly after graduating from Gonzaga University. As a Bulldog, Carissa was frequently named to the Dean’s List, earning the recognition and respect of many of Gonzaga’s professors. Currently a legal assistant, she serves her community by assisting attorneys, particularly with their administrative work, freeing their time to work one-on-one with clients.
Outside of work, you may find Carissa practicing her Spanish. Deeply interested in Hispanic culture, she hopes to one day visit all Spanish-speaking countries. Carissa enjoys cross-stitching, hunting with her dad, and playing board games, volleyball, and pickleball with her younger siblings. She hopes to go on a caribou and moose hunt one day with her dad. Carissa would also like to take her mom on a trip to Mexico to explore Cuernavaca and the surrounding areas.
Name the person that you admire most.
I admire a dear family friend, Fred. He is the most hardworking person I know, and has demonstrated multiple times how a successful life does not revolve around money or material items. Instead, his focus revolves around his cattle and his family. His stories inspire me to dedicate my time to my passions and to the people around me.
Besides your laptop and notebook, what is one thing that is always on your desk?
I always have a picture of my family on my desk to remind me of what matters most.
What is your favorite place to travel?
My favorite place to travel is Eatonville, WA. The view of Mt. Rainier is the best. Cuernavaca, Mexico is a close second.
